Methodology

 

KB has designed a unique methodology to maximize returns and rationalize existing application portfolio. The engagement is initiated by an assessment of the existing applications followed by a phased implementation. The engagement is divided into various waves, this helps prioritize the transition of critical applications.

KB leverages its QCPF framework for portfolio analysis to decide which application is most favorable for off shoring. The unique feature of the framework is it treats fractional applications as a bundle and hence includes all applications for the analysis. Some sample parameters to decide the offshorability of any application are: team size, life expectancy, turnaround time, criticality and complexity. Based on these
parameters a risk vs. offshorability matrix is derived using which a customized plan is developed.
